"In 2008, I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a journalist at the Beijing Summer Olympics during an undergrad study abroad trip. Since then, I have been adamant about giving such life-changing opportunities to scholars at HBCUs and public high schools. In 2014,  The Ji Li Project Institute was founded.

After an extensive career in both the public and private sectors of law, I discovered a synergy between my community work with Ji Li and the depth of knowledge learned while working with judges and corporate counsel. This synergy exploded during the 2019-2020 school year. I found myself teaching the principles of Ji Li to public high school scholars and instead of using textbooks, I turned to the published content of my former legal colleagues. I coined it ‘TLaaC’: Thought Leadership as a Curriculum.

A true game changer: the same dense legal jargon that I helped promote was being used to teach economics, business leadership and ethics. And now, this is shaping a web3.0-ready community of Ji Li  Scholars and PROs."
